1.- READ and LISTEN to the text below about a KUNG FU SCHOOL:
KUNG FU is a “martial art”. It’s also a great Chinese tradition. Chinese children can go to special schools and study kung fu every day!
Schools in Wushu City have got 10.000 students! They travel there from other parts of China. After they finish their studies, the students can get good jobs in the army or the police force.
Li Zheng, from Shangai, is 13 years old. She does exercises and practises kung fu in the playground every day with hundreds of other students. She wants to be a police officer in the future.
Every morning and evening she practises her kung fu moves and positions for hours. She can do a lot of different moves like the frog, the dragon and the snake. Her teacher is an expert in kung fu – he can break a brick with his hand! Can your teacher do that? 😉
