Per fer-ho, vam posar a escalfar sobre una flama un vas de precipitats ple de gel picat. Ben submergit en aquest gel hi ten\u00edem un term\u00f2metre que indicava el canvi de temperatura. Durant vint minuts vam enregistrar la temperatura cada seixanta segons. Vam veure com el gel es fonia en aigua l\u00edquida i, m\u00e9s tard, aquesta aigua comen\u00e7ava a bullir per convertir-se en vapor. Aix\u00f2 ens ha servit per saber el punt de fusi\u00f3 i el punt d\u2019ebullici\u00f3 de l\u2019aigua, i descobrir que mentre est\u00e0 tenint lloc un canvi d\u2019estat la temperatura es mant\u00e9 constant. Alguns dels resultats han sortit una mica diferents del que esper\u00e0vem.
