Es tracta d&#8217;un past\u00eds de pastanaga i esp\u00e8cies que cobrim amb un glacejat de formatge. Destaca per la textura humida i per tenir un sabor molt dol\u00e7 que combina a la perfecci\u00f3 amb les notes especiades. L&#8217;origen del <em><span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">carrot<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">cake<\/span><\/em> es remunta a l&#8217;Anglaterra de la Segona Guerra Mundial. En aquell moment, el govern angl\u00e8s es va veure obligat a establir una \u00e8poca de racionament d&#8217;aliments. Aix\u00f2 va derivar a un per\u00edode d&#8217;escassetat de molts productes i els anglesos van crear nous plats adaptats als productes que tenien a m\u00e0. Un dels ingredients que m\u00e9s escassejaven era el sucre, motiu pel qual calia utilitzar ingredients amb poder endolcidor com la remolatxa i la pastanaga. M\u00e9s endavant, van ser els nord-americans els que van crear versions diferents d&#8217;aquest past\u00eds i es van donar a con\u00e8ixer al m\u00f3n sencer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les pastanagues s\u00f3n l&#8217;ingredient que aporta la dol\u00e7or caracter\u00edstica al past\u00eds. Nosaltres les ratllem ben fines perqu\u00e8 s&#8217;integrin b\u00e9 a la massa. Hi ha una s\u00e8rie d&#8217;esp\u00e8cies que es consideren imprescindibles per l&#8217;elaboraci\u00f3 del <span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">carrot<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"hiddenSpellError\">cake:<\/span> el gingebre, la canyella i la nou moscada. Pel que fa al glacejat, que es realitza amb formatge crema, mantega i sucre de llustre, s&#8217;ha d&#8217;aplicar amb el past\u00eds ja fred perqu\u00e8 no es fongui i mantingui la textura que el caracteritza.
