Com indica el seu nom, es tracta d&#8217;un past\u00eds dol\u00e7 amb pastanaga picada barrejada a la massa, que s&#8217;estova durant el proc\u00e9s de cocci\u00f3, la qual cosa fa que la textura del producte sigui densa i suau.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L&#8217;origen d&#8217;aquest past\u00eds es remunta a l&#8217;edat mitjana. En aquella \u00e8poca, els endolcidors eren molt cars i dif\u00edcils d&#8217;aconseguir i, per tant, fer coques i altres tipus de receptes de rebosteria resultava quelcom complicat. Aquesta va ser la ra\u00f3 principal per la qual es va estendre el costum d&#8217;utilitzar carabassa, pastanaga o remolatxa com a endolcidors a la cuina.
