Els torrons ja han arribat. Les neules comencen a apar\u00e8ixer a les nostres cases. Les nadales comencen a sonar pels carrers,… i el Calendari d\u2019advent matem\u00e0tic torna a apar\u00e8ixer a l\u2019institut per dir-nos que ja ha tornat el Nadal.<\/p>\n

Com altres anys, els departaments de Lleng\u00fces estrangeres i el de Matem\u00e0tiques i Ci\u00e8ncies hem fet el nostre particular calendari d\u2019advent, on tothom que vingui a l\u2019institut podr\u00e0 resoldre un enigma matem\u00e0tic, tot practicant l\u2019angl\u00e8s. Aquesta \u00e9s una activitat que pret\u00e9n unir de manera divertida, les matem\u00e0tiques i l\u2019angl\u00e8s.<\/p>\n

Aquest any, els enigmes s\u00f3n enunciats dels concurs matem\u00e0tic La Prova Cangur.<\/p>\n

La prova Cangur \u00e9s una activitat matem\u00e0tica anual, amb el format de concurs individual, promoguda per l’associaci\u00f3 internacional Le Kangourou sans Fronti\u00e8res<\/strong>, que es marca com a objectiu la promoci\u00f3 de les matem\u00e0tiques entre la gent jove i la mainada, mitjan\u00e7ant una participaci\u00f3 massiva en una activitat cient\u00edfica, sense intentar fer cap selecci\u00f3\u00a0 ni comparaci\u00f3 entre centres ni entre zones geogr\u00e0fiques. Le Kangourou sans Fronti\u00e8res<\/strong> delega a les societats nacionals l’organitzaci\u00f3 local i la traducci\u00f3 i adaptaci\u00f3 concreta de les diverses proves a cada llengua. La Societat Catalana de Matem\u00e0tiques (SCM), filial de l\u2019Institut d\u2019Estudis Catalans (IEC), \u00e9s l\u2019entitat titular de l’organitzaci\u00f3 en els territoris de parla catalana.<\/p>\n

Avui, 1 de desembre hem descobert el primer enigma, que us el presentem per a que pugueu anar pensant-lo.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s Christmas time at Campalans!<\/p>\n

Nougats have already arrived. Wafers are coming. Christmas carols are sung in the streets\u2026 and the mathematic Advent calendar appears again in our school to show that Christmas is here again.<\/p>\n

As in previous years, the Foreign languages Department and the Mathematics and Science Department have elaborated our particular Advent calendar. With it, everybody coming to our school will be able to solve a maths puzzle and practise a bit of English at the same time. This activity aims at joining maths and English having some fun.<\/p>\n

This year the puzzles come from the maths contest La Prova Cangur. It is an annual mathematic activity, in the format of an individual contest, and it is promoted by the international association Le Kangourou sans Fronti\u00e8res<\/strong>. This association has its main goal in promoting maths among children and teenagers by a massive participation in a scientific activity, without any previous selection or comparing schools and geographical areas. Le Kangourou sans Fronti\u00e8res<\/strong> delegates the local organisation and the translation and adaptation of the different challenges. The Catalan Mathematics Society (CMS), affiliated to Catalan Studies Institute (CSI), is the principal organisation in the Catalan territory.<\/p>\n

Today, 1st December, we have uncovered the first puzzle, which is the one that follows, so you can start to think about it.<\/p>\n
