La llegenda de la seva  mort diu que mentre ella moria a causa del martiri, anava pregant D\u00e9u tot  cantant-li. L&#8217;any 1594 va ser nomenada patrona de la m\u00fasica pel Papa Gregori  XIII. Amb motiu de la diada de la santa se celebrava una gran festa amb missa  solemne i processons on intervenien gran quantitat de m\u00fasics amb tot tipus  d&#8217;instruments. A Barcelona, els m\u00fasics s&#8217;escampaven pels carrers i les  diferents places de la ciutat per alegrar el ve\u00efnat. Aix\u00ed doncs, el dia del seu  naixement va esdevenir el Dia de la M\u00fasica.<\/span><span lang=\"CA\" style=\"font-family: inherit;\"> &nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: inherit;\">Amb motiu del dia de Santa  Cec\u00edlia, a l&#8217;institut es podr\u00e0 sentir durant tot el dia m\u00fasica de fons  escollida per la professora que imparteix aquesta mat\u00e8ria.
