A partir de l\u2019Any Europeu de les Lleng\u00fces, el 2001, s\u2019institut\u00ed el 26 de setembre com el Dia Europeu de les Lleng\u00fces. Aquesta commemoraci\u00f3 ens recorda la import\u00e0ncia de saber parlar quantes m\u00e9s lleng\u00fces millor. Nosaltres, des de la nostra terra, Catalunya, amb una llengua pr\u00f2pia, el catal\u00e0, som gent oberta a entendre\u2019ns i per entendre\u2019ns no nom\u00e9s s\u2019ha de voler fer sin\u00f3 que s\u2019ha de tenir una eina, o un instrument de comunicaci\u00f3: \u00e9s la llengua, aquest instrument. Per aix\u00f2 ens cal fer esfor\u00e7os per poder con\u00e8ixer lleng\u00fces. Con\u00e8ixer lleng\u00fces vol dir ser conscients que hi ha altres realitats, a m\u00e9s de la nostra, i aquest coneixement ens permet anar pel m\u00f3n amb garanties. Els esl\u00f2gans pensats i escrits per molts alumnes de l\u2019institut i que hem penjat a l\u2019entrada de l\u2019institut s\u00f3n un pou de riquesa creativa i de reflexi\u00f3.
