Our students have worked in their subjects not only to learn the relevant curriculum content but also to reinforce and practise their English.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In the laboratory, they have learnt how to use the microscope, what the scientific method is, and the safety rules. They have also studied the cell.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Filming isn&#8217;t just about switching on the equipment and pressing the record button. It&#8217;s about knowing where and how to place the camera. It&#8217;s about deciding which shot to set up first and which one to leave out. This and much more is what they have been working on in the Film Studies elective subject.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In Music, they have learnt new vocabulary by working on songs such as Yesterday by the Beatles or Rain on Me by Lady Gaga. They have also learned about artists through films such as Bohemian Rhapsody or It&#8217;s a Wonderful Life.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Fractions, integer numbers, and algebra are some of the topics covered in the optional Mathematics course. Our students have lost their fear of working together in two of the subjects they find most challenging.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Here is a little taster of what we have been doing over these past few months.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><b><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Projectes GEP del primer trimestre<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Tanquem el primer trimestre amb la sensaci\u00f3 de la feina feta. Els alumnes han treballat des de les diverses optatives per aprendre no nom\u00e9s el contingut curricular corresponent sin\u00f3 per refor\u00e7ar i posar en pr\u00e0ctica el seu angl\u00e8s.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Al laboratori han apr\u00e8s com utilitzar el microscopi, qu\u00e8 \u00e9s el m\u00e8tode cient\u00edfic, les normes de seguretat. Tamb\u00e9 han estudiat la c\u00e8l\u00b7lula.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Grabar no \u00e9s nom\u00e9s encendre el maquinari i donar-li al rec. \u00c9s saber on posem, i com, la c\u00e0mera. \u00c9s decidir quin pla col\u00b7locarem primer i de quin pla prescindirem. Aix\u00f2 i molt m\u00e9s \u00e9s el que han estat treballant a l\u2019optativa de cinema.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">A M\u00fasica han apr\u00e8s nou vocabulari treballant can\u00e7ons com Yesterday dels Beatles o Rain on me de Lady Gaga.
