Estudiant les feromones de determinats insectes, es pot minimitzar, per exemple, l&#8217;\u00fas de pesticides actuant sobre uns insectes en concret que poden representar algun tipus de plaga.<\/p>\n<p>Una curiositat que va explicar el conferenciant va ser que per extreure aroma natural de gessam\u00ed caldrien 7milions de p\u00e8tals secs per produir tan sols 1kg d&#8217;oli essencial valorat en 4100\u20ac. Molt semblant pel que fa\u00a0 a l&#8217;aroma de roses, per a la qual caldrien 4500Kg de p\u00e8tals per obtenir-ne tan sols 1 kg. Avui en dia la ci\u00e8ncia \u00e9s capa\u00e7 de reproduir mol\u00e8cules que facin la mateixa olor que el gessam\u00ed, les roses, les maduixes, o produeixin el mateix poder atractiu, per exemple, que les feromones d&#8217;alguns insectes. La pregunta \u00e9s si es podr\u00e0 fer un perfum amb feromones humanes que ens facin qu\u00edmicament irresistibles.
