This year Laura has come to the Institut Moian\u00e8s to help with the English classes as a conversation assistant. Her job is to support the English teachers in the classroom with activities to help the students develop their English speaking skills. Laura is very nice and we’ve done an interview to learn more about her.<\/b><\/p>\n

– Hello Laura! We are two students from the magazine, can we ask you some questions?<\/b><\/p>\n

– Hi! Of course.<\/p>\n

– How old are you?<\/b><\/p>\n

– I am twenty-nine years old.<\/p>\n

– Where are you from?<\/b><\/p>\n

– I\u2019m from London.<\/p>\n

– What did you work in London?<\/b><\/p>\n

– I worked as a journalist. I wrote for a newspaper and later I worked for a charity which campaigns for the rights of disabled people.<\/p>\n

– Why did you want to come here?<\/b><\/p>\n

– \u00a0This is a new and exciting adventure for me. I came here to learn the culture, language, music of here\u2026 \u00a0I hope I will be able to teach the students lots of interesting things about life in the UK and help them improve their English.<\/p>\n

– Do you like Moi\u00e0? <\/b><\/p>\n

– Yes, I like it a lot, because the landscape is very beautiful and the people are very friendly. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming and friendly towards me since I arrived in Moi\u00e0 just a few days ago. It’s clearly a very special and beautiful place and I can’t wait to get more involved in the community here.<\/p>\n

– What is your hobby?<\/b><\/p>\n

– Playing the saxophone. I love music.<\/p>\n

– I will be at the school for the next eight months and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible during that time. So if you see me around, feel free to say hello – although be warned that I don’t speak any Catalan or Spanish! Thank you. See you soon.<\/p>\n

Benvinguda, Laura!<\/b><\/p>\n

Aquest any la Laura ha vingut a l\u2019Institut Moian\u00e8s per ajudar a les classes d\u2019angl\u00e8s com a assistent de conversa. La seva feina conisteix a donar suport als professors d\u2019angl\u00e8s a l\u2019aula amb activitats per ajudar els estudiants a desenvolupar les seves habilitats de conversa en angl\u00e8s. La Laura \u00e9s molt amable i li hem fet una entrevista per saber m\u00e9s sobre ella.<\/b><\/p>\n

– Hola, Laura! Som dues estudiants de la Revista, podem fer-te algunes preguntes?<\/b><\/p>\n

– Hola! \u00c9s clar.<\/p>\n

– Quants anys tens?<\/b><\/p>\n

– Tinc 29 anys.<\/p>\n

– D\u2019on ets?<\/b><\/p>\n

– Soc de Londres.<\/p>\n

– De qu\u00e8 treballaves a Londres?<\/b><\/p>\n

– Treballava com a periodista. Escrivia per a un diari i m\u00e9s tard per a una organitzaci\u00f3 ben\u00e8fica que fa campanya pels drets de les persones amb discapacitat.<\/p>\n

– Per qu\u00e8 vas voler venir aqu\u00ed?<\/b><\/p>\n

– \u00c9s una aventura nova i apassionant per mi. Vaig venir per aprendre la cultura, l’idioma, la m\u00fasica d\u2019aqu\u00ed\u2026 Espero ser capa\u00e7 d\u2019ensenyar als estudiants moltes coses sobre la vida al Regne Unit i ajudar-los a millorar el seu angl\u00e8s.<\/p>\n

– T\u2019agrada Moi\u00e0?<\/b><\/p>\n

– S\u00ed, m\u2019agrada molt, perqu\u00e8 el paisatge \u00e9s molt bonic i la gent \u00e9s molt amistosa. Tothom m\u2019ha donat una benvinguda incre\u00efble i amistosa des que vaig arribar a Moi\u00e0 fa uns dies. \u00c9s clarament un lloc molt especial i bonic i tinc moltes ganes d’involucrarme m\u00e9s a la comunitat d\u2019aqu\u00ed.<\/p>\n

– Quines aficions tens?<\/b><\/p>\n

– Tocar el saxofon. M\u2019encanta la m\u00fasica.<\/p>\n

– Moltes gr\u00e0cies, Laura, ens veiem per aqu\u00ed!<\/b><\/p>\n

– Ser\u00e9 a l\u2019institut durant els seg\u00fcents vuit mesos i espero con\u00e8ixer a tants de vosaltres com sigui possible durant aquest temps.
