El treball de la Laia &#8220;\u00d2rgans en un xip. Un nou paradigma per a la investigaci\u00f3 biom\u00e8dica &#8221; plantejava si era possible que l&#8217;\u00fas d&#8217;\u00f2rgans en un xip pogu\u00e9s arribar a substituir l&#8217;experimentaci\u00f3 amb animals i cultius cel\u00b7lulars.
