Aquest qu\u00edmic catal\u00e0 va n\u00e9ixer a Altafulla el 1750 i va passar bona part de la seva vida a Tarragona. Va destacar com un gran cient\u00edfic en qu\u00edmica i f\u00edsica. La seva contribuci\u00f3 al coneixement m\u00e9s destacada va ser el 1790, quan va donar uns resultats precisos sobre la composici\u00f3 de l&#8217;aire. El cient\u00edfic ha rebut als estudiants de 4t d\u2019ESO del nostre Institut i ens ha mostrat els llocs on va viure i treballar a la Part Alta de Tarragona. Ens ha explicat les seves investigacions sobre bot\u00e0nica i qu\u00edmica i com, despr\u00e9s de mesurar-ho en diferents condicions va arribar a la conclusi\u00f3 que l\u2019aire est\u00e0 format per dos\u00a0 elements: nitrogen i oxigen i sempre en la mateixa proporci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Al seg\u00fcent v\u00eddeo podeu veure la reproducci\u00f3 del seu experiment:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:
