L\u2019avaluaci\u00f3 diagn\u00f2stica \u00e9s una avaluaci\u00f3 de car\u00e0cter orientador i formatiu per als centres. No determina, per tant, l\u2019expedient acad\u00e8mic individual de l\u2019alumnat. L\u2019avaluaci\u00f3 diagn\u00f2stica ha de permetre avaluar l\u2019assoliment de la compet\u00e8ncia comunicativa ling\u00fc\u00edstica i de la compet\u00e8ncia matem\u00e0tica al final del segon curs de l\u2019ESO. Les proves s&#8217;administren a l&#8217;alumnat de tercer d&#8217;ESO. D&#8217;aquesta manera s&#8217;assegura que en el moment de fer les proves, l&#8217;alumnat ha cursat \u00edntegrament els aprenentatges previstos.
