L\u2019objectiu \u00e9s saber l&#8217;origen d&#8217;aquest fenomen, tot avaluant els riscos que provoca a la poblaci\u00f3. En principi han formulat una hip\u00f2tesi inicial i equipats amb tota classe d&#8217;eines d&#8217;aut\u00e8ntic ge\u00f2leg han estudiat els materials geol\u00f2gics que formen les escletxes. Han fet un veritable treball de camp endinsant-se a les estretes esquerdes, superant la possible claustrof\u00f2bia. Per \u00faltim, han verificat la seva hip\u00f2tesi i valorat com ha afectat, afecta i afectar\u00e0 els processos de vessant als ve\u00efns del Papiol.
