L\u2019arquitecte encarregat de la feina fou l\u2019itali\u00e0 Domenico Bagutti, que va optar per un estil neocl\u00e0ssic per a l\u2019immoble que, aleshores, estava als afores de la ciutat de Barcelona.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L\u2019any 1967 la fam\u00edlia Desvalls decideix de cedir la propietat a l\u2019Ajuntament de Barcelona a canvi de terrenys edificables a la zona de Pedralbes. Al 1977 es va obrir per primer cop al p\u00fablic. Malauradament, es va haver de tancar degut als desperfectes i destrosses que s\u2019hi van produir tant a la part vegetal com a l\u2019arquitect\u00f2nica. Finalment, al 1994, gr\u00e0cies a una partida de diners procedents de la Uni\u00f3 Europea, es va restaurar \u00e0mpliament per tornar a obrir-lo al p\u00fablic. El parc, dividit en tres terrasses, es troba guarnit amb diferents bustos, est\u00e0tues, templets i relleus de caire mitol\u00f2gic, que els nostres alumnes podien contemplar i connectar, llavors, amb els seus aprenentatges a l\u2019aula.
