How can we reduce our water footprint at home?<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Given the growing threat of drought in the world, as concerned students-citizens the 3rd<\/sup> of ESO students have been called to take some action in order to make people aware of the importance of saving water.\u00a0 Small actions can create big change<\/strong> and this is what we want people to understand. So, we have created ads<\/strong> to make people realize that every drop counts, and that we should reduce its use if we want to preserve life on earth. LET\u2019S MAKE A WAVE!<\/p>\n

What have we done?<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

STEP 1<\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In the technology class we have reflected upon the water footprint and have learned about the different processes involved in water treatment. We have made experiments, analysed charts and dealt with written and visual documents to understand processes such as water purification, potabilisation, seawater desalination, osmosis, etc.<\/p>\n

We have also worked out our family-water consumption and we have researched about different efficient ways of saving water at home.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In the English class we have dealt with different types of documents (articles, videos and ads), we have analysed them and discussed about the importance of saving water and how to do it.<\/p>\n

STEP 2<\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/a>In groups, we have learned how to make an ad using different techniques. We have written the script and once we have recorded it, we have promoted it in order to increase its viewership.<\/p>\n

STEP 3<\/h4>\n

Finally, we have presented our project \u00a0in front of the class including the following steps:<\/p>\n

  7. Explained what we have learned with the project<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
