Est\u00e0 escrita en vers i \u00e9s de tipus hist\u00f2ricoromantic. En aquesta ja s&#8217;aprecien els trets principals del seu teatre com, per exemple, els conflictes interns dels personatges, que es mouen en ambients rom\u00e0ntics.&nbsp;L&#8217;acci\u00f3 de&nbsp;<i>Mar i cel<\/i>&nbsp;se situa en alta mar durant la primera meitat del segle XVII.
