La hist\u00f2ria ens situa a l &#8216;estiu del 1984, quan \u00e9s la primera ministra la Margaret Thatcher i el sindicat Nacional de Miners convoca una vaga. Durant la manifestaci\u00f3 de l &#8216; Orgull Gai a Londres, un grup de lesbianes i gais es dedica a recaptar fons per ajudar a les fam\u00edlies dels treballadors, per\u00f2 el sindicat no accepta els diners .El grup decideix posar-se en contacte directe amb els miners i van a un poblet de Gales.
