Last week our 1st Batxillerat students headed to England! We landed at Bristol airport on Tuesday and took a bus to Torquay, part of the English Riviera.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
On the first day, our students did an orientation tour around the city. It has breathtaking views by the sea, and although they were tired, they enjoyed taking photos all around and listening to Sonia, our guide. At 6 p.m we gathered to meet our English host families. Everyone was so excited and anxious to see their English houses for the week!<\/div>\n

On the next three days, the students had English lessons in the morning at one of the best schools in town: Torquay International House. Then, after eating our packed-lunch, we did different activities. On Wednesday we headed to Paignton by train and enjoyed watching a film. On Thursday, we did a scavenger hunt, everyone had to perform different tasks like interviewing local people, looking for Agatha Christie’s statue, taking photos of different parts of town and recording videos giving information about different topics. It was so much fun, and there was a reward for the winners!<\/div>\n

On Friday morning, our students received a certificate of attendance from the school and they were so happy! In the afternoon, we travelled to Exeter, which is a beautiful city one hour away from Torquay. We did a tour around the city, Sonia showed us the most famous places, and after that, everyone had some free time to go shopping and have some rest.<\/div>\n

On Saturday, we had a full day excursion to Bristol! We travelled there by bus and spent the whole day exploring the city. We were able to see the Bristol Cathedral, Harbour side, College Green, Castle Park and we also visited the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery. It was a lovely visit!<\/div>\n

Sunday was our last day in England and everyone was really sad to say goodbye to the families.<\/div>\n

Our students spent a week soaking up and appreciating British culture and they had a great experience. The families were really nice and took good care of our\u00a0students,\u00a0who had a chance to practice their\u00a0English,\u00a0visit\u00a0beautiful places and learn many\u00a0different\u00a0things.<\/div>\n

We are beyond happy that they enjoyed their stay and hope to repeat again next school year!<\/div>\n
