Here are some examples:<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n1st ESO. Social Science. Teacher: S\u00edlvia Torres<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the first and second terms, the students have carried out the globalized project called \u201cA Journey Through Time&#8221;. As part of this project, some activities were conducted in English. For example, the topic of mummification included a cycle of activities that began with the introduction of specific vocabulary in English, so that the students could later be able to work on the comprehension of oral texts (didactic videos in the original version without subtitles). The teacher tasks included (a) consolidation of the specific vocabulary used in the videos; (b) the elicitation of vocabulary or ideas from students; (c) translation of complicated excerpts; and finally, (d) the discussion of the contents with the whole class.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3rd ESO. Biology. Teacher: Elvira Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our students have discovered the human body in a singular way: they have carried out several dissections of different organs while using the English language to communicate. At the end of the school year, just before going out on the Camp d\u2019Aprenentatge, we introduced the vocabulary and concepts necessary to understand the structure and functioning of ecosystems. Physics\/Chemistry. Cristina Abad<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students have experienced the principle of conservation of mass as well as chemical reactions in the lab. Using a different language in an unusual space has been highly motivating for students, since it allows them to learn in a new way. Gamification, manipulation and cooperation form part of a very enriching cocktail for physics and chemistry classes!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>3rd and 4th ESO: Cooperative Group: S\u00edlvia Torres <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This small group of students does a subject which is a mixture of social sciences and English language. One of the projects that was carried out was the &#8220;Vegetable Garden Project&#8221;. Within this project, one of the students\u2019 favorite games was &#8220;memory&#8221;, a vocabulary game that was used to introduce and \/ or revise the names of fruits and vegetables. So, we would like to congratulate our students for having overcome, once again, these stimulating, yet demanding learning experiences!<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nActivitats GEP 2021-2022<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I seguim un any m\u00e9s, ja el 4t any amb la implementaci\u00f3 de la metodologia AICLE a les aules de l\u2019institut Bellvitge!<\/p>\n<p>Les m\u00faltiples intervencions des de les diferents mat\u00e8ries, en les quals el nostre alumnat s\u2019ha endinsat en reptes amb l\u2019angl\u00e8s com a llengua vehicular, han estat:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1r ESO.<\/strong> Ci\u00e8ncies Socials. Professora: S\u00edlvia Torres. Durant el primer i segon trimestres, l\u2019alumnat ha realitzat el projecte globalitzat \u201cel viatge en el temps\u201d. Dins d\u2019aquest projecte, algunes activitats es van dur en angl\u00e8s. Per exemple, el tema de momificaci\u00f3 inclo\u00efa un cicle d\u2019activitats que comen\u00e7ava amb la introducci\u00f3 de vocabulari espec\u00edfic en angl\u00e8s, per tal de poder treballar la comprensi\u00f3 de textos orals (v\u00eddeos did\u00e0ctics en versi\u00f3 original sense subtitular). Les tasques dels professors i professores implicats consistien a consolidar el vocabulari emprat en els v\u00eddeos, deducci\u00f3 de paraules o ideas dels v\u00eddeos, traduir fragments complicats i comentar els continguts amb tot el grup classe. <\/p>\n<p><strong>3r ESO. Biologia.<\/strong> Professora: Elvira Fern\u00e0ndez. L\u2019alumnat ha descobert el cos hum\u00e0 d\u2019una manera singular: han fet diverses disseccions d\u2019\u00f2rgans emprant la llengua anglesa. Per finalitzar el curs, abans d\u2019anar al Camp d\u2019Aprenentatge d\u2019Emp\u00faries, vam introduir el vocabulari i els conceptes necessaris per entendre l&#8217;estructura i el funcionament dels ecosistemes.
