GIVE A SONG ONE MORE TIME!

Institut Bellvitge keeps on with its aim of improving students’ English skills by  carrying out the project Give me a song.

The students of 2nd ESO listened to the catchy song Upside down by Paloma Faith and did a worksheet with a variety of exercises focusing mainly on  oral comprehension and production. Instead, the same students also enjoyed the crooning song of the American group Coldplay, Hymn for the weekend, where they had to do exercises based more on vocabulary rather than oral skills. Another memorable song  they worked on was Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen in which pronunciation and synonymy where the main fields of work.

But, they were not the only ones. Our students of 1st ESO participate in this project. They had a lot of fun with David Guetta’s song Titanium too. This time they had to listen carefully to guess the word. Apart from that, they also had the chance to improve their writing skill by  producing a text putting themselves in the place of a boy with superpowers.

Let’s keep working!
