The students in 2nd of ESO B are taking part in an eTwinning project called EQUALS = eTwinning. It is part of their English subject, therefore the language used is English. They are also expected to improve their citizenship and digital competences by means of this project.<\/p>\n

This project focusses on gender equality. It is SDG-5 and one of the most important vectors in children\u2019s education nowadays. The understanding of the social construction of gender is acquired at this stage, including the gender dynamics in roles, professions, sport and households. Learners are capable of formulating strategies to overcome gender bias and to evaluate the role that socialization plays in \u2018acceptable\u2019 emotional display. This leads them to challenge traditional gender roles as well as violence and gender discrimination.<\/p>\n

Last Monday we could have our first online meeting and get to know a bit better our Greek partners. It was exciting and we had lots of fun. We are Looking forward to our next online meeting!<\/p>\n

It is the second year that the teachers (and schools) from Greece and La R\u00e0pita work together, so we have been creating a really nice work relationship that we hope can develop into further projects. Who knows, maybe an Erasmus?<\/p>\n
