Puede formar parte de la flora microbiana normal de zonas h\u00famedas del cuerpo y vive en todo tipo de aguas y humedades, sobretodo en las aguas de manantial. Por esto \u00faltimo, se considera un microorganismo indicador de la calidad de las aguas.\u00a0Entre sus caracter\u00edsticas, destaca su capacidad de producir variedad de pigmentos a 35-37 \u00baC como la piocianina (azul-verde), la piorrubina (roja) i la fluoresce\u00edna (verde fluorescente). El fundamento de su detecci\u00f3n se fundamenta en gran parte en la estimulaci\u00f3 y observaci\u00f3n de estos pigmentos.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"ast-oembed-container \" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Pseudomonas aeruginosa\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3WEMcgQFi5A?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para su determinaci\u00f3n, se har\u00e1 una prueba presuntiva inoculando diferentes vol\u00famenes de agua muestra en tubos con el <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">medio Asparagina.<\/span> Este medio proporciona las condiciones apropiadas para el crecimiento de <em>Pseudomonas aeruginosa<\/em>: tamp\u00f3n de pH (K<sub>2<\/sub>HPO<sub>4<\/sub>), MgSO<sub>4<\/sub> que estimula la producci\u00f3n de fluoresce\u00edna y L-D Asparagina que al ser fermentada por <em>Pseudomonas<\/em> producir\u00e1 \u00e1cido asp\u00e1rtico. Despu\u00e9s de incubar a 37\u00baC durante 24\u00a0horas, se considerar\u00e1n positivos los tubos que presenta turbidez y opcionalmente, se pueden examinar en una l\u00e1mpara UV de\u00a0254 nm larga para detectar la possible (pero no imprescindible) fluorescencia.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6213\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6213\" style=\"width: 276px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/agora.xtec.cat\/ies-merce-rodoreda\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu644\/2018\/05\/pseudomonas.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6213\" src=\"http:\/\/agora.xtec.cat\/ies-merce-rodoreda\/wp-content\/uploads\/usu644\/2018\/05\/pseudomonas.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"276\" height=\"289\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-6213\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Positivos de la prueba presuntiva.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Para descartar falsos positivos (otros organismos gram negativos fermentadores) y asegurar la presencia de pseudomonas aeruginosa, se someten los positivos de la prueba presuntiva a una \u00faltima prueba confirmativa. Pasa esta prueba, se sembrar\u00e1n los tubos positivos en <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">agar Cetrimida<\/span> y se incuba a 37 \u00baC durante 48 horas. \u00c9ste tambi\u00e9n proporcionar\u00e1 nutrientes, estimuladores de la producci\u00f3n de\u00a0piocianina (MgCl<sub>2<\/sub> y K<sub>2<\/sub>SO<sub>4<\/sub>) y Cetrimida que, ademas de estimular la producci\u00f3n de fluoresce\u00edna, inhibe la flora acopa\u00f1ante de <em>Pseudomonas<\/em> (destruyendo las membranas).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por tanto, si finalmente se observa el crecimiento de colonias con pigmentaci\u00f3n verdosa (pigmentos marrones o amarillos no corresponden a <em>Pseudomonas aeruginosa<\/em>) en el medio cetrimida y, opcionalmente, se visualiza fluorescencia, podemos confirmar la presencia de <em>Pseudomonas aeruginosa<\/em> en la muestra de agua. Hay que aclarar que no todas las cepas de este g\u00e9nero producen fluoresce\u00edna, es por eso que no se considera un requ\u00edsito imprescindible para su detecci\u00f3. <strong>La legislaci\u00f3n sobre aguas aptas para el consumo humano no permite su presencia<\/strong>, por lo tanto solo interesa conocer si est\u00e1 presente o no, pero existen m\u00e9todos para determinar su concentraci\u00f3n, c\u00f3mo el NMP.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_6231\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6231\" style=\"width: 320px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a
