Jugant, els nens i nenes aprenen amb motivaci\u00f3 a l\u2019hora que es diverteixen amb el que fan. Quan els infants s\u00f3n els propis protagonistes del seu aprenentatge aquest esdev\u00e9 m\u00e9s significatiu ja que els nens i nenes comprenen gr\u00e0cies a la seva pr\u00f2pia experi\u00e8ncia, mitjan\u00e7ant l\u2019assaig-error i al seu propi ritme. A trav\u00e9s dels jocs i la manipulaci\u00f3 de diferents materials es poden treballar tots els aspectes matem\u00e0tics (raonament, l\u00f2gica, mesura, numeraci\u00f3 i geometria).
