A Medieval Town<\/u><\/h1>\n

Dunstan, Dunstan, what a medieval town,<\/span><\/p>\n

Not too big, not too small,<\/span><\/p>\n

In the middle of the countryside,<\/span><\/p>\n

We go there for our stall.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And oh, does it stink!<\/span><\/p>\n

Built around the brown river,<\/span><\/p>\n

But the villagers wash there anyway,<\/span><\/p>\n

It does make one shiver!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We slip and slide and fall over,<\/span><\/p>\n

As the streets are rivers of mud,<\/span><\/p>\n

It could be worse though,<\/span><\/p>\n

For last year there was a flood!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There are lots of jobs though,<\/span><\/p>\n

I happen to be an excellent baker,<\/span><\/p>\n

I cook bread all day and night,<\/span><\/p>\n

And live in a room with a shoe maker.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

People from all over the country,<\/span><\/p>\n

Come there to trade and sell,<\/span><\/p>\n

The watchmen wander at night,<\/span><\/p>\n

Waiting for the end of the day bell.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The animals they squeal and neigh,<\/span><\/p>\n

Stood in their pens,<\/span><\/p>\n

The cows moo and moo,<\/span><\/p>\n

And at their feet the hens.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Agh! Water has landed on me,<\/span><\/p>\n

It has come from up there<\/span><\/p>\n

The women she waves at me,<\/span><\/p>\n

As sewage runs through my hair!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The castle is nearby,<\/span><\/p>\n

With their lords and their knights,<\/span><\/p>\n

They ride through the town all the time,<\/span><\/p>\n

And start various fights!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When the people come passing through,<\/span><\/p>\n

They bring all their sniffs and flu,<\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes it\u2019s like the plague all over again,<\/span><\/p>\n

I hope I don\u2019t get it \u2013 achoo!<\/span><\/p>\n

Vagabonds beg, and children run,<\/span><\/p>\n

The cobbler smacks his hammer up and down,<\/span><\/p>\n

The noise, the smell, the chaos, all here,<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh, what a medieval town!<\/span><\/p>\n
