{"id":1492,"date":"2020-03-05T23:11:14","date_gmt":"2020-03-05T22:11:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/agora.xtec.cat\/iearts\/?p=1492"},"modified":"2020-03-05T23:14:00","modified_gmt":"2020-03-05T22:14:00","slug":"chordata-motion-the-open-source-motion-capture-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agora.xtec.cat\/iearts\/eso\/chordata-motion-the-open-source-motion-capture-system\/","title":{"rendered":"Chordata Motion, the open source motion capture system"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the Tandem\u2019s project \u201cFrom the wheel to the robot\u201d we invited <a href=\"https:\/\/chordata.cc\/\">Chordata Motion\u2019s team<\/a> to explain the design of the dress which transforms the human movements in 3D.<br \/>\nFlavia and Bruno Laurencich explained to us, 1r ESO class, the system of motion capture. Chordata Motion is an open source system with applications in robotics, visual arts, videogames, health and sport.<\/p>\n<p>One of the ideas than Bruno explained to the students was the importance of working and promoting the open source program and its accessibility to everyone.<br \/>\nWhile Bruno explained the project, Flavia prepared Isabela, one of our students, who was a model, who tried the dress and tested the system with her movements. We were able to see the motions on the screen.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Bruno helped us to understand the concept of Artificial Intelligence. He was very open and responsive to our questions and very patient.They had a lot of time for us and the students were very impressed and grateful for the performance and new information obtained.<br \/>\nWe would like to give many thanks to Chordata\u2019s team. It was a pleasure to have Flavia and Bruno visit our school #IEARTS.
