They visited the large polygonal tower of the castle and its ruins and the remaining walls, the Romanesque chapel of Sant Miquel, the new library, and the plaster ovens. Next, different workshops were organized at school in order to deepen their knowledge about the host’s local patrimony. Moreover, a Flamenco workshop took place as a way to get into Spanish culture from this traditional dance. Last but not least, visitors toured around the school to get familiar with how the Spanish educational system works and what kind of methodologies take place at school.

The week offered a few sightseeing trips to different places around the Catalonia region. Starting in Montserrat Abbey, visitors were able to enjoy a concert by the boys’ choir called Escolania de Montserrat, they continued walking the area and ending by visiting the museum located there where art works from different historical periods and artists are shown. Besides, walking around Igualada and visiting the Leather Museum showed the participants the leather industry of the past of the town. Moreover, the group of castellers Moixiganguers showed the traditional human towers of the region.

A trip to Barcelona was organized The visitors attended an extraordinary “Flamenkat show” in Palau de la Música built by the architect Lluís Domènech i Muntaner. We experimented this technique in a workshop done at Maricel Museum, located in the coastal village of Sitges.

The welcoming ceremony greeted both
