This month of February we have welcomed two new language assistants to our school. The first one is called Maria, who comes from a small Greek island very close to Turkey, Chios (Χίος). Although she had never been to Spain before, she is eager to explore it, starting with major cities like Barcelona and those in Andalusia.
She speaks both Greek and English and is in her early twenties. After studying at university, she earned a teaching degree specializing in Primary Education. To gain more insight into teaching, she decided to join our school, hoping to observe different methods and apply them to her future lessons as a teacher.
Maria is a lover of Greek music and enjoys traditional dancing too. While she is not particularly into sports, she considers dancing a form of exercise. She prefers peaceful places away from large crowds and appreciates a calm lifestyle.
When it comes to food, her favorite dish is Gemista, a healthy Greek meal consisting of tomatoes and bell peppers stuffed with rice, herbs, and sometimes minced meat, then baked.
She has a younger brother and cherishes her homeland deeply, describing Greece as one of her favorite countries in the world. With her passion for music, culture and education, Maria is excited to embark on this experience and broaden her horizons.

We wish her all the best!
