From TURKEY to our CLASSROOMS (III): Celebrating Yurdagül’s Contributions

Our fifth language assistant this year is Yurdagül, and like her first two predecessors, she comes from Turkey. She is in her early twenties and, throughout the year, lives in a small town near Istanbul with her parents and her 18-year-old brother.

Yurdagül has been an avid traveler ever since she moved to Latvia to take part in an Erasmus+ programme. There, she studied and collaborated closely with other university students, gaining a deep understanding of international cooperation. Since then, she has explored different parts of Europe to broaden her cultural horizons. So far, she has visited eleven countries, including Austria, Poland, Italy, Portugal, and Spain. She considers her Erasmus+ experience in Northern Europe a turning point, as it opened the door to countless learning opportunities and became an unforgettable chapter in her life.

Now, we are fortunate to have her at our school. As she explains, she embraces every new experience as a chance to grow. She is currently assisting English teachers in regular lessons—mainly at the secondary level—and actively participating in speaking sessions with students.

In the future, she wants to settle down in a peaceful place where she can dedicate herself to teaching. As for her hobbies, she loves reading, drawing, making new friends and listening to music.

We are confident that during her internship with us, she will continue developing her teaching and learning skills, this way making a wonderful teacher in the years to come.

Best of luck, Yurda!
