Last week was incredible! Our school had the pleasure of welcoming eight Erasmus students from Rome, who stayed in a hotel in Girona and enjoyed a wonderful experience with us from the 11th to the 15th of May. Their visit gave us the opportunity to share cultures, learn from one another, and take part in many enriching and meaningful activities together.<\/p>\n

Throughout the week, we organized several collaborative activities to help students discover both Catalan and Italian culture. We started with presentations about life in Catalonia, where students shared traditions, daily life, gastronomy, and local customs. We also played fun and interactive Kahoot quizzes about Italian and Catalan culture, which allowed everyone to learn while enjoying some friendly competition.<\/p>\n

One of the most exciting parts of the exchange was practicing traditional games from both Catalonia and Italy. Students had the chance to experience different cultural traditions in an active and enjoyable way. In addition, we began working on farm models using robotics and Arduino programming, combining creativity, teamwork, and technology in an innovative project.<\/p>\n

We were also very lucky to welcome Emma Pomerola, a comic artist, who gave a workshop on comic drawing techniques. She taught students how to draw comic-style faces and bodies, inspiring everyone to explore their artistic side.<\/p>\n

Music was another important part of the exchange. Students shared and exchanged Italian and Catalan songs, discovering new artists and musical traditions from each country.<\/p>\n

Beyond the organized activities, students also enjoyed spending free time together during break times. These informal moments allowed them to talk, exchange ideas and opinions, make new friendships, and play sports such as basketball and football together.<\/p>\n

Hosting Erasmus students from another country has been a unique and unforgettable experience. It gave our students the opportunity to practice English in a real and meaningful context while developing communication skills, cultural awareness, and international friendships. Through this experience, students were able to exchange ideas, learn from different perspectives, and grow both personally and academically.<\/p>\n
