Today, Wednesday, April 24, was the day dedicated to some of the events of the \u201cMedia Literacy\u201d conference.<\/span><\/p>\n

Avui, dimecres 24 d\u2019abril ha estat el dia dedicat a algun dels actes de les jornades \u201cMedia Literacy\u201d.<\/p>\n

Early in the morning we attended the \u201cFakeless\u201d exhibition at the Goethe Institut. Its director, Mr. \u00c1rp\u00e1d-Andreas S\u00f6lter welcomed us and gave us five cents of the goals of cooperation of the Goethe Institutes around the world with the countries where they are located.<\/span><\/p>\n

A primera hora del mat\u00ed hem assistit a l\u2019exposici\u00f3 \u201cFakeless\u201d al Goethe Institut. El seu director, el Sr. \u00c1rp\u00e1d-Andreas S\u00f6lter ens ha donat la benvinguda i ens ha fet cinc c\u00e8ntims dels l\u2019objectius de cooperaci\u00f3 dels Goethe Institutes de tot el m\u00f3n amb els pa\u00efsos on estan ubicats.<\/p>\n

Then the person in charge of the exhibition explained to us the different spaces in which it is structured, what we find in each one and, very kindly, she provided us with material in English to be able to follow it carefully, as well as the tablets necessary for scan QR codes.<\/span><\/p>\n

A continuaci\u00f3 la responsable de l\u2019exposici\u00f3 ens ha explicat els diferents espais en qu\u00e8 est\u00e0 estructurada, qu\u00e8 hi trobem en cada un i, molt amablement, ens ha proporcionat material en angl\u00e8s per poder seguir-la amb atenci\u00f3, aix\u00ed com les tauletes necess\u00e0ries per escanejar els codis QR.<\/p>\n

This is an exhibition related to fake news (deep fake vs synthetic media), internet security, the need to use secure passwords and the evidence of the amount of hours we spend on screens.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aquesta \u00e9s una exposici\u00f3 relacionada amb les not\u00edcies fake (deep fake vs synthetic media), la seguretat a internet, la necessitat d\u2019usar contrasenyes segures i l\u2019evid\u00e8ncia de la quantitat d\u2019hores que dediquem a les pantalles.<\/p>\n

The exhibition is fully interactive and by scanning QR codes you can access small contests, challenges, bingos\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

L\u2019exposici\u00f3 \u00e9s totalment interactiva i mitjan\u00e7ant l\u2019escaneig de codis QR s\u2019accedeix a petits concursos, reptes, bingos\u2026<\/p>\n

We found the section that deals with the need to verify and contrast the facts we find on the web to be particularly interesting. Under the title \u201cBuilding immunity, trusting facts\u201d, this section makes us participate in a contest to find out the veracity of news related to internationally famous people from all fields. Another curiosity that has caught our attention has been the ease of finding out passwords based on the information we upload to the networks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ens ha resultat especialment interessant l\u2019apartat que tracta la necessitat de verificar i contrastar els fets que trobem a la xarxa. Sota el t\u00edtol \u201cBuilding immunity, trusting facts\u201d, aquest apartat ens fa participar en un concurs per esbrinar la veracitat de not\u00edcies relacionades amb gent internacionalment famosa de tots els camps. Una altra curiositat que ens ha cridat l\u2019atenci\u00f3 ha estat la facilitat d\u2019esbrinar contrasenyes a partir de la informaci\u00f3 que pengem a les xarxes.<\/p>\n

In a more informative section we receive information on how our brain reacts to misinformation.<\/p>\n

En un apartat m\u00e9s divulgatiu rebem informaci\u00f3 de com el nostre cervell reacciona a la desinformaci\u00f3.<\/p>\n

It is highly recommended to visit the page and participate in one of its tests and\/or games. Apart from making us reflect on the skills and dangers we must keep in mind when we enter this world of \u201cfake news\u201d, it can give us ideas for working with students.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c9s for\u00e7a recomanable visitar la p\u00e0gina i participar en alguna de les seves proves i\/o jocs. A banda de fer-nos reflexionar sobre les habilitats i els perills que hem de tenir presents quan entrem en aquest m\u00f3n de les \u201cfake news\u201d, ens pot donar idees per treballar amb l\u2019alumnat.<\/p>\n

After finishing the visit to the exhibition we took the tram towards the Central Square of Zagreb.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despr\u00e9s d\u2019acabar la visitat a l\u2019exposici\u00f3 hem agafar el tramvia direcci\u00f3 la a Pla\u00e7a Central de Zagreb.<\/p>\n

Once we arrived at Ban Jela\u010di\u0107 Square, Sanja welcomed us under a light rain. We walked quickly through the streets of the center among trams, pedestrians and distracted tourists. In a few minutes we arrived at a rather solemn school. We noticed that everything was new and they explained to us that it had been renovated due to the damage suffered in the last earthquake.<\/span><\/p>\n

Un cop hem arribat a Ban Jela\u010di\u0107 Square, la Sanja ens ha rebut sota un fi plugim. Hem caminat amb celeritat pels carrers del centre entre tramvies, vianants i turistes distrets. En pocs minuts hem arribat a una escola for\u00e7a solemne. Ens hem fixat en el fet que tot era nou i ens han explicat que havia estat reformada degut a les afectacions patides en el darrer terratr\u00e8mol.<\/p>\n

The librarian received us and took us to a 2nd grade classroom. It was a rather spacious classroom, with large windows and well equipped. The session was led by Margareta, it was in Croatian but Sanja translated the information for us. He started the class by introducing the objective of the session: that they be able to identify the different types of films (animated, experimental, documentary\u2026). Three shorts made by primary school students were presented that dealt with autumn, a teacher\u2019s hobbies and what a summer without parents would be like. He connected with the students by asking questions related to the themes of each short. He asked a lot of questions and the students got involved with great interest. After viewing the three shorts, Margaret took the opportunity to explain what they focused on to distinguish each type of film. He remarked on the importance of focusing on images, sounds, the use of text, the interview format for documentaries and how important it is to create a good story that captivates the viewer. Curiously, the short that the whole class liked the most was the one about the holidays without parents.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ens ha rebut l\u2019encarregat de la biblioteca i ens ha acompanyat a una aula de 2n. Era una aula for\u00e7a espaiosa, amb grans finestrals i ben equipada. La sessi\u00f3 la dirigia la Margareta, ha estat en croat per\u00f2 la Sanja ens ha tradu\u00eft la informaci\u00f3. Ha iniciat la classe introduint l\u2019objectiu de la sessi\u00f3: que siguin capa\u00e7os d\u2019identificar els diferents tipus de films (animat, experimental, documental\u2026). S\u2019han presentat tres curts realitzats per alumnes de prim\u00e0ria que tractaven sobre la tardor, les aficions d\u2019una professora i com seria un estiu sense pares. Ha connectat amb l\u2019alumnat fent preguntes relacionades amb els temes de cada curt. Feia moltes preguntes i els i les alumnes s\u2019han implicat molt interessats. Un cop visionats els tres curts la Margaret ha aprofitat per explicar en qu\u00e8 s\u2019han fixat per distingir cada tipus de film. Ha remarcat la import\u00e0ncia de fixar-se en les imatges, els sons, l\u2019\u00fas de text, el format d\u2019entrevista pels documentals i com d\u2019important \u00e9s crear una bon relat que captivi l\u2019espectador.
