Last week we had a lot of fun<\/strong> while practising<\/strong> English<\/strong> by going to Can Papasseit to watch a theatre<\/strong> play: Little Red Rocks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because watching a theatre play in English<\/strong> can be a bit difficult<\/strong>; we have been preparing this challenging<\/strong> activity for weeks in class<\/strong>. By meeting the characters<\/strong> and reading the summary <\/strong>of the story we realized it was an adapted version of Little Red RIding Hoo<\/strong>d, a fairy tale that we all know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this version of the story Little Red<\/strong> is a brave girl<\/strong> who lives in Barcelona<\/strong> that has to fly<\/strong> to London<\/strong> to help her grandma<\/strong>, a famous music star who needs an important document<\/strong>. In her adventure she meets Lupita<\/strong> and Olenka<\/strong>, a flight<\/strong> attendant<\/strong> and a perfumist<\/strong> that help her. She also meets Mr.Wolf<\/strong>, a greedy person who wants to steal grandma’s money and jewells<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a lot of fun singing<\/strong> the songs<\/strong> and helping Little Red write the end of the story<\/strong>… Our favourite moment, though, was when three colleagues went on the stage<\/strong> to take part in a smelling competition<\/strong>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Watching a play or a film in English may seem difficult but, if we are familiar with the story and know all the basic language<\/strong> it can be a fun<\/strong> and motivating<\/strong> activity<\/strong>. Why don’t you try watching your favourite film in English<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
