Studying about how to make the school menu accesible<\/strong>, we discovered<\/strong> that lunches in the school <\/strong>are not the same<\/strong> in all the countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n


In the USA, for example, EVERYBODY<\/strong> has lunch in the school<\/strong>. Children DO NOT have lunch at home<\/strong>!
In the USA you decide<\/strong> if you BRING your own food<\/strong> or take the food from the cafeteria.<\/strong> Watch this video <\/a>to see the lunch in the USA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The food we see is very different<\/strong> but we discussed <\/strong>about it (<\/strong>using “I like” “I don’t like”<\/em>) <\/strong>and… we generally love the food<\/strong>! We imagined what would be our perfect lunch box<\/strong> and we drew it<\/strong>. What is your perfect <\/em>lunch box? In ours there are pizzas, pasta, chocolate and fruit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking<\/strong> at some real photos<\/strong> of real lunch boxes<\/strong> we discovered that, in general, lunch boxes are NOT HEALTHY<\/strong> and we started to check the contents <\/strong>using a checklist.<\/strong> It was a great way to practise English vocabulary!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Now that we knew that a lunch box <\/strong>needs DAIRY, FRUIT, VEGETABLES, WHOLEGRAINS<\/strong> and MEAT, FISH, EGGS or PULSES<\/strong>, it was time to analyse OUR lunch boxes.<\/strong>..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What a surprise that most are not healthy at all<\/strong>!
