In Alicies we are fascinated by invertebrates<\/strong>. Now that we know what a \u201cbitxo\u201d is and that we are much more precise in naming them, it was time to learn the names in English<\/strong> for our little zoo.\u00a0
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We already knew some of the names <\/strong>thanks to the cartoons and comics <\/strong>(spider and ladybug, for example) but we were very surprised<\/strong> when we realized a lot of insects<\/strong> had the word FLY<\/strong> with them like BUTTERFLY; DRAGONFLY, FIREFLY<\/strong> or simply FLY.<\/strong> Did you know that?\u00a0
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We did several activities to recognise <\/strong>the written form <\/strong>of all the words that have appeared in our conversations<\/strong> these days. Online games, word searches and matching games<\/strong> are ideal to get familiarized with the words. We know now that the written words are pronounced very differently <\/strong>than in Spanish or Catalan and the best way is, sometimes, to \u201cmemorize\u201d<\/strong> it.\u00a0Do you want to try?
