CASTELLUM ENGLISH WEEK
This is the third year that we have celebrated English Week at Castellum School. We celebrated it a week before Easter and we did it to learn, practice and enjoy English.
Our 5th grade students started preparing everything weeks before. They worked in groups and they prepared a poster for the English Week with all the challenges day by day. A week before the 5th grade students informed the rest of the kids at school about the whole organisation by showing and explaining the poster. They also informed the families by Tellfy, sending voice messages with all the information.
On Monday all students from 1st to 6th grade listened to a song in English, on Tuesday they watched a short movie, on Wednesday they watched and listened to a short story. On Thursday we shared our English breakfast with Medinyà students and we played a game called Speed Dates, to practice our speaking. On Friday morning we went to the Civic Center to watch the theater play of Pinocchio. At the end of the play, we asked some questions to the actors: in English, of course. In the afternoon we played games, organized by 5th grade students, such as: Kahoot, Just dance, Wordshake, Giant Memory, Scarf Game, Killing Rabbits, Karaoke, Circle Game, Escape Room and Wordsearch.
At the end, we gave one letter to each group to make a sentence: HAPPY EASTER!
The things we liked the most are: meeting the students from Medinyà School and sharing the English breakfast with them, the Pinocchio theatre and preparing the games!!!
We can’t wait to do it again next year!!!
LA SETMANA ANGLESA DEL CASTELLUM
Aquest és el tercer any que hem celebrat la setmana anglesa a l’escola Castellum. Ho vam celebrar una setmana abans de Setmana Santa i ho fem per aprendre, practicar i gaudir de la llengua anglesa.
L’alumnat de 5è va començar a preparar-ho tot setmanes abans. Es van organitzar per treballar en grups i van preparar un pòster per la setmana anglesa amb tots els reptes i activitats que es farien dia a dia. Una setmana abans van informar a la resta de nens i nenes de l’escola sobre la organització, ensenyant i explicant el pòster. També van informar a les famílies via Tellfy, enviant un missatge de veu en anglès amb tota la informació.
Dilluns, tot l’alumnat de 1r a 6è va escoltar una cançó en anglès, dimarts van mirar un curtmetratge, dimecres van escoltar una història. Dijous vam compartir el nostre esmorzar anglès amb l’alumnat de Medinyà i vam jugar a un joc que es diu Cites ràpides, per practicar la parla en anglès. Divendres al matí vam anar al Centre Cívic a veure l’obra de teatre de Pinocchio. Al final de l’obra de teatre vam poder fer preguntes a l’actor i l’actriu: en anglès, per suposat. A la tarda vam jugar als jocs, organitzats per l’alumnat de 5è, com ara: Kahoot, Just dance, Wordshake, Giant Memory, Joc del mocador, Mata conills, Karaoke, Circle Game, Escape Room and Wordsearch.
Al final, vam donar una lletra a cada grup per fer la frase: bona Pasqua!
Les coses que més ens han agradat son: conèixer l’alumnat de l’escola de Medinyà i compartir el nostre esmorzar anglès amb ells, el teatre de Pinocchio i preparar els jocs!!!
Tenim moltíssimes ganes de tornar a gaudir d’aquesta setmana el curs vinent!!!
