These are the steps we have followed in order to create our \u201cCAN SERRA NEWS<\/strong>\u201c, which integrates the 4 skills:\u00a0writing, reading, speaking and listening.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

  1. Collaborative\u00a0WRITING<\/strong>. First of all, each group invented a sentence (the beginning of a story created by the rest of classmates). The activity was called\u00a0Folding collaborative WRITING<\/em>.<\/li>\n
  2. Group\u00a0READING<\/strong>. When the stories were completed, we read them out loud and shared them with our colleagues. We also drew a picture which illustrated the\u00a0different\u00a0stories.<\/li>\n
  3. Before acting, we watched some examples of\u00a0Breaking News (by some funny children) in Canada.<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. We\u00a0WROTE<\/strong>\u00a0down our script by following the example of the video we\u2019ve watched. We copied some of the sentences they used in the video and wrote down speeches for our personalized \u201cBreaking News<\/em>\u201c.<\/li>\n
  5. Rehearsal and acting. We had to share the different sentences of the texts to rehearse, prepare our\u00a0SPEAKING<\/strong>\u00a0and acting out.<\/li>\n
  6. Our teacher recorded us with a camera while we were\u00a0SPEAKING\u00a0<\/strong>and acting out the text.\u00a0We used a green chroma screen to add special effects.<\/li>\n
  7. The teacher\u00a0transferred the videos to the\u00a0COMPUTER<\/strong>\u00a0and added the\u00a0background\u00a0that each group wanted.\u00a0Then, in groups, we\u00a0chose an \u201cintro\u201d and we put together all the edited the videos and created a movie.<\/li>\n
  8. Finally, we watched and\u00a0LISTENED<\/strong>\u00a0to all the videos. To conclude, we will do an\u00a0ASSESSMENT<\/strong>\u00a0GROUP CHART to analyse the individual and group work.<\/li>\n
