Celebrating Saint George in the English Area! \ud83c\udf39\ud83d\udc09<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the Early Years English area at our school, we have been celebrating the arrival of Saint George\u2019s Day<\/em> to explore this special tradition with our I3, I4 and I5 students, combining creativity, language and culture.<\/p>\n

Our youngest students in I3 really enjoyed a meaningful art activity: they stamped their hands to create a beautiful rose, connecting with one of the most representative symbols of this celebration.<\/p>\n

In I4, students created their own knight shields, immersing themselves in the world of the legend while learning English vocabulary related to the characters and elements of the story.<\/p>\n

As for I5, the children made a hanging decoration for their doors: a craft featuring Saint George<\/em> and the princess, along with the message \u201cHappy Saint George!\u201d. This activity was a very motivating way to bring the English language into their daily lives.<\/p>\n

In addition to the art activities, all groups watched stories and listened to songs in English related to the legend. This helped them improve their listening skills and also discover that Saint George<\/em> is celebrated in many English-speaking countries and other parts of the world, not only in Catalonia.<\/p>\n

It has been a very enriching experience that allowed us to learn English in a meaningful way, while connecting with a tradition that is both local and global.<\/p>\n

Celebrem Saint George a l\u2019\u00e0rea d\u2019angl\u00e8s! \ud83c\udf39\ud83d\udc09<\/strong><\/p>\n

A l\u2019\u00e0rea d\u2019angl\u00e8s a Infantil de l\u2019escola hem celebrat\u00a0 l\u2019arribada de la festivitat de Saint George<\/em> per treballar aquesta tradici\u00f3 tan especial amb els infants d\u2019I3, I4 i I5, combinant creativitat, llengua i cultura.<\/p>\n

Els m\u00e9s petits, d\u2019I3, han gaudit molt realitzant una activitat art\u00edstica molt significativa: han estampat la seva m\u00e0 per crear una bonica rosa, connectant aix\u00ed amb un dels s\u00edmbols m\u00e9s representatius d\u2019aquesta diada.<\/p>\n

A I4, els alumnes han elaborat el seu propi escut de cavaller, tot endinsant-se en l\u2019imaginari de la llegenda i treballant vocabulari en angl\u00e8s relacionat amb els personatges i elements de la hist\u00f2ria.<\/p>\n

Pel que fa als infants d\u2019I5, han creat una manualitat per penjar a les portes de casa: una composici\u00f3 amb Saint George<\/em> i la princesa, acompanyada del missatge \u201cHappy Saint George!\u201d. Aquesta activitat ha estat una manera molt motivadora d\u2019apropar la llengua anglesa al seu dia a dia.<\/p>\n

A m\u00e9s de les activitats pl\u00e0stiques, a totes les edats hem visualitzat hist\u00f2ries i escoltat can\u00e7ons en angl\u00e8s relacionades amb la llegenda. Aix\u00f2 ens ha perm\u00e8s no nom\u00e9s treballar la comprensi\u00f3 oral, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 descobrir que Saint George<\/em> \u00e9s una festivitat que es celebra en diversos pa\u00efsos de parla anglesa i en altres llocs del m\u00f3n, no nom\u00e9s a Catalunya.<\/p>\n

Ha estat una experi\u00e8ncia molt enriquidora que ens ha ajudat a aprendre angl\u00e8s d\u2019una manera significativa, tot connectant amb una tradici\u00f3 propera i, alhora, global.<\/p>\n
