The course has come to an end and here are some nice memories of the activities done in the English classes. Happy summer!!!<\/p>\n

  1. SCHOOL DAY FOR NON-VIOLENCE AND PEACE<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Every January 30, coinciding with the anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi\u2019s death, School Day of Non-violence and Peace is celebrated in schools around the world.\u00a0Its basic and permanent message is:\u00a0“Universal love,\u00a0non-violence<\/a>\u00a0and peace. Universal love is better than\u00a0egoism<\/a>, non-violence is better than violence, and peace is better than war”<\/i>.<\/p>\n

    2. ENGLISH LIBRARY<\/strong><\/p>\n

    On Wednesdays at break time we could go to the English class to: watch movies, write on the blackboard, play with the small whiteboards, read or play on the computers. The only condition was that everything that was done had to be in English.
    \nLook, there were days when there was full!!!    \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

    3. THIRD GRADERS\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

    With teacher Enric we did an English class on musical instruments. Even though the wind played a trick on us, look how funny !!!<\/p>\n

    4. DIWALI IN FOURTH GRADE<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The Diwali Festival is the most important day of year in India, which could be equivalent to Christian Christmas. It coincides with the Hindu New Year and it is also called “The festival of lights”. It actually lasts for five days, in the month of Kartika, which coincides between mid-October and mid-November on the Western (Gregorian) calendar. They make beautiful Rangolis<\/strong> on the floor. A Rangoli is a colourful design. It can be simple geometric shapes, deity impressions, or flower and petal shapes.<\/span><\/p>\n

    In Teresa Bergad\u00e0 School we make beautiful rangoli patterns in groups. We hang them in front of the English class so that everyone could see how beautiful they were !!!<\/span><\/p>\n

    5. CONCEPT MAP WITH FIFTH GRADERS<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Throughout the unit “Waterworld” we worked as a group to create a concept map. We also learned that the rotating worksheet technique works very well in order everyone in each team can participate.<\/p>\n

    6. SAINT VALENTINE’S DAY IN SIXTH GRADE<\/strong><\/p>\n

    A\u00a0cinquain<\/b> is a five-line unrthymed poem<\/b>\u00a0that was invented by Adelaide Crapsey. She was an American\u00a0poet<\/b> who took her inspiration from Japanese haiku and tanka. The rules are:<\/p>\n

    Line1: One word title that is a noun.<\/p>\n

    Line 2: Two adjective that describe the title.<\/p>\n

    Line 3: Three verbs about the title.<\/p>\n

    Line 4: Four word phrase that expresses your feelings about the title.<\/p>\n

    Line 5: One word synonym for the title.<\/p>\n

    We celebrated Valentine’s Day by making beautiful cinquain poems that we hanged on our love tree!!!<\/p>\n

    7. THE LEGEND OF SAINT GEORGE<\/strong><\/p>\n

    A different Saint George, but no less special. The upper cycle students we have elaborated the legend of St. George. Look how beautiful!!!<\/p>\n
