Deixant de banda esports prehist\u00f2rics sense  regles ni normativa es troben, a Egipte en el segle XV aC. com a  refer\u00e8ncia escrita m\u00e9s antiga una inscripci\u00f3 a una l\u00e0pida d&#8217;Amenofis II,  en la que es parla de la cursa a peu.
