We can find the Bomb Shelter 307 at 175 Nou de la Rambla street.<\/p>\n

Nowadays only 3 of the 1300 bomb shelters in Barcelona can be visited.<\/p>\n

The bomb shelter 307 was designed by the engineer Ramon Perera in 1937, during the Spanish civil war. It was thought for around a thousand people, but it was\u00a0 never ended. That kind of bomb shelter saved many lives during the war, and other countries like France took them as a model.<\/p>\n

It was mostly built by women, children, and elderly people. They worked very hard until they got a safe place to stay during the dangerous bombings.<\/p>\n

We saw different services there: toilettes, nursery, surgery room, rehabilitation room, warehouse, etc.<\/p>\n

People could stay\u00a0 there for some hours or days. There was also electricity and water inside.<\/p>\n

We sat on the cement benches, we saw the walls made of bricks and lime and we could easily feel like the hidden neighbors: they were cold, wet, perhaps hungry, and tired; but above all, they were really frightened.<\/p>\n
