\n your neighbours running faster than you<\/span>
\n breath bloody in their throats<\/span>
\n the boy you went to school with<\/span>
\n who kissed you dizzy behind the old tin factory<\/span>
\n is holding a gun bigger than his body<\/span>
\n you only leave home<\/span>
\n when home won’t let you stay.<\/span>
\n no one leaves home unless home chases you<\/span>
\n fire under feet<\/span>
\n hot blood in your belly<\/span>
\n it’s not something you ever thought of doing<\/span>
\n until the blade burnt threats into<\/span>
\n your neck<\/span>
\n and even then you carried the anthem under<\/span>

\n only tearing up your passport in an airport toilets<\/span>
