Year 5 and Year 6 students were recently delighted to receive posters from their eTwinning partners in The Netherlands. These colorful posters depicted various festivities celebrated in the Dutch culture, from familiar events like Carnival to unknown ones like King’s Day or Saint Nicholas.<\/em><\/p>\n

Students eagerly examined the posters, noting similarities and differences between the celebrations in the Netherlands and their own experiences. Working collaboratively in groups, they selected the most relevant information to share with the rest of the group in a presentation.<\/em><\/p>\n

Through this cultural exchange, the students remembered the use of some grammatical structures and vocabulary worked in class, practiced the four communication skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) and, above all, crossed borders once more to learn about other cultures and value diversity.<\/em><\/p>\n

L\u2019alumnat de 5\u00e8 i 6\u00e8 de La Farigola del Clot han rebut recentment uns cartells dels seus companys i companyes d’eTwinning als Pa\u00efsos Baixos. Aquests acolorits cartells expliquen diverses festes celebrades a la cultura neerlandesa, des d’esdeveniments familiars com el Carnaval fins a d\u2019altres m\u00e9s desconeguts com el Dia del Rei o Sant Nicolau.<\/p>\n

Els estudiants van llegir amb entusiasme els p\u00f2sters, observant semblances i difer\u00e8ncies entre les celebracions dels Pa\u00efsos Baixos i les seves pr\u00f2pies. Treballant de manera col\u00b7laborativa en grup, van seleccionar la informaci\u00f3 m\u00e9s rellevant per compartir amb la resta del grup en una presentaci\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Mitjan\u00e7ant aquest intercanvi cultural, els estudiants van recordar l\u2019\u00fas d\u2019algunes estructures gramaticals i vocabulari treballat, van practicar les quatre habilitats comunicatives (comprensi\u00f3 i expressi\u00f3 oral i escrita) i, sobretot, van travessar fronteres una vegada m\u00e9s per con\u00e8ixer altres cultures i valorar la diversitat.<\/p>\n
