Here, they will learn how to program mTiny to create amazing pictures using markers and the tap tiles.<\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"22:1-22:21\"><strong>What They Will Learn:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-sourcepos=\"24:1-27:0\">\n<li data-sourcepos=\"24:1-24:71\">How to use tap tiles to make mTiny move in straight lines and turn.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"25:1-25:75\">How to plan a drawing and turn it into a set of instructions for mTiny.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"26:1-27:0\">How to experiment with different paths and create unique artwork.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"28:1-28:20\"><strong>What They will Need:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-sourcepos=\"30:1-33:0\">\n<li data-sourcepos=\"30:1-30:34\">An mTiny robot and tap tiles.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"31:1-31:14\">A big paper.<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"32:1-33:0\">And colourful markers that fit in mTiny&#8217;s pen holder.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"34:1-34:32\"><strong>Let&#8217;s Create Some Robot Art!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-sourcepos=\"36:1-36:35\">Here&#8217;s how students will make their drawings:<\/p>\n<ol data-sourcepos=\"38:1-45:0\">\n<li data-sourcepos=\"38:1-39:0\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"38:5-38:181\"><strong>Plan the Drawing:<\/strong> First, they will think about what they want mTiny to draw. Maybe a square, a triangle, or a wiggly line! They can even draw a simple picture first to help them plan.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"40:1-41:0\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"40:5-40:220\"><strong>Code the Path:<\/strong> Now, they will use the tap tiles to tell mTiny how to move. &#8220;Forward&#8221; makes mTiny go straight. &#8220;Turn Right&#8221; and &#8220;Turn Left&#8221; make it turn. They put the tiles together to create a path for mTiny to follow.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"42:1-43:0\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"42:5-42:156\"><strong>Watch mTiny Draw:<\/strong> They put a marker in mTiny&#8217;s pen holder and place it on the paper. Then, they press the start button and watch mTiny draw their picture!<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-sourcepos=\"44:1-45:0\">\n<p data-sourcepos=\"44:5-44:130\"><strong>Check the Drawing:<\/strong> Did mTiny draw what they planned? If not, they can change the tap tiles and try again.
