Hello! \u00a1Hola!
\nMy name is Elizabeth Tihomirova, and I am from Waterford, Ireland. I come from a multicultural family \u2013 my dad is Russian and my mom is Latvian \u2013 which has given me the opportunity to grow up surrounded by different languages and traditions. This international background has really shaped who I am and inspired my curiosity about cultures, communicating with people, and creativity.
\nI am currently studying my Master\u2019s degree in Arts Policy and Cultural Entrepreneurship at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Before that, I completed a Bachelor\u2019s degree in European Languages and Cultures, where I discovered how deeply language connects people and opens doors to new perspectives.
\nI have been inspired by some of the teachers I had during my childhood and teenage years \u2013 the ones made learning feel exciting, meaningful, and fun. Their encouragement stayed with me, and it made me realize how powerful a supportive teacher can be. Growing up, I also helped care for and guide my younger brothers, which taught me a lot of patience, responsibility, and the importance of encouragement. These experiences motivated me to become someone who can inspire and support children in their own learning journeys.
\nI am now doing my Erasmus+ internship at Enric Farreny School in Lleida, where I will be assisting Music and Art classes. I love seeing how creativity allows children to express themselves freely, build confidence, and discover their own talents. I believe that art and music are powerful tools for connection, imagination, and joy.
\nIn my free time, I enjoy playing the violin and piano, taking long walks, painting by numbers, and travelling to discover new places and cultures. I am especially passionate about languages, and I find it wonderful that children are learning and exploring them from such a young age.
\nI feel very grateful to be part of this experience at Enric Farreny School. I am excited to learn from both the teachers and the students, and to grow not only as a university student myself, but also as a future cultural professional and educator.
