Yesterday and today we celebrated St Patrick’s Day in English, as it is an Irish holiday celebrated every 17th of March. We explained the origin of the festivity in class, we learned typical vocabulary, we listened different songs, we watched videos and in addition, we made different crafts and experiments and we reflect about the reasons why we feel lucky in our daily lifes. Moreover, we did dances and games such as memory and w<\/span>e have also enjoyed painting typical elements such as the Leprechaun, the shamrock and the rainbow among others.<\/span><\/p>\n

The aim of these activities is to bring our students closer to Anglo-Saxon culture, especially from English-speaking countries around the world. We had a great time!!<\/span><\/p>\n

Below we share with you a sample of the activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aquesta darrera setmana hem treballat a l’escola el dia de Sant Patrici<\/span><\/strong> en angl\u00e8s, ja que \u00e9s una festa irlandesa que se celebra cada 17 de mar\u00e7. Hem explicat l’origen de la festa a classe, hem apr\u00e8s vocabulari t\u00edpic, hem escoltat diferents can\u00e7ons, hem vist v\u00eddeos i a m\u00e9s, hem fet diferents manualitats i experiments i hem reflexionat sobre els motius pels quals ens sentim afortunats en el nostre dia a dia. A m\u00e9s, vam fer balls i jocs com el “memory” i tamb\u00e9 hem gaudit pintant elements t\u00edpics com el fullet de Sant patrici, el tr\u00e8vol i l’arc de Sant Mart\u00ed entre d’altres.<\/p>\n

L’objectiu d’aquestes activitats \u00e9s apropar els nostres alumnes a la cultura anglosaxona, especialment dels pa\u00efsos de parla anglesa d’arreu del m\u00f3n. Ens ho vam passar molt b\u00e9!!<\/p>\n
