This week we have had a cultural exchange thanks to our dearest language assistant, Daniella. As she is from the United States, she has explained how Halloween is celebrated from first-hand experience. Students were delighted to listen to the origins of this festival, how houses are decorated and\u00a0 the typical candies, food and so on. Moreover they could ask Daniella questions\u00a0 after the presentation.<\/p>\n
Then the students approached Daniella to the Catalan tradition of Castanyada as she didn’t know anything about it. They explained what we celebrate in La Castanyada and in All Saints Day and the typical desserts: chestnuts and “panellets”. She enjoyed the presentation and she could taste “panellets”, which she found delicious!<\/p>\n
Aquesta setmana hem tingut un intercanvi cultural gr\u00e0cies a la nostra estimada auxiliar de conversa, la Daniella. Aprofitant que \u00e9s dels Estats Units ens ha explicat com celebren el Halloween de primera m\u00e0. Els i les alumnes han estat encantats d’escoltar els or\u00edgens d’aquesta festivitat, com es decoren les cases i els dol\u00e7os m\u00e9s t\u00edpics, entre d’altres aspectes. A m\u00e9s han pogut preguntar a la Daniella qualsevol dubte o curiositat.<\/p>\n
Despr\u00e9s hem acostat la Daniella a la nostra cultura i li hem explicat qu\u00e8 \u00e9s la Castanyada, ja que no ho coneixia. Els i les alumnes li han explicat qu\u00e8 celebrem aquests dies de Castanyada i tots sants i, sobretot, les postres t\u00edpiques: les castanyes i els panellets. La Daniella ha gaudit molt de la presentaci\u00f3 i ha pogut tastar els panellets. Els ha trobat deliciosos!<\/p>\n
