Aquest trimestre, els nens i nenes de sis\u00e8 han escrit unes cartes als nens i nenes de la Patasala Montessori School<\/a> de Chennai, a l’\u00cdndia. La coordinadora d’angl\u00e8s de la nostra escola i la Krishna, la directora de l’Escola Patasala, es van posar en contacte per correu electr\u00f2nic i van organitzar una activitat de correspond\u00e8ncia per correu ordinari (ja que en aquesta escola no es fomenta l’\u00fas de les noves tecnologies fins als deu anys). A les seves cartes, els nostres alumnes s’han presentat, s’han descrit perqu\u00e8 els seus penpals indis el puguin recon\u00e8ixer a les fotografies que els hem enviat i els han explicat quina \u00e9s la seva rutina, les seves aficions i aquelles coses que els agraden.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During this term, children in Year 6 of Primary Education wrote some letters in English to the children in Patasala Montessori School<\/a> in Chennai, in India. The\u00a0coordinator of English language in our school and Ms Krishna, the Patasala School’s head teacher, contacted by email and they organised a correspondence activity by ordinary mail for their students (they discourage computer use below the age of 10 at their school). In their letters, our students introduced and described themselves so that their Indian penpals can recognise them in the photos we sent and they also wrote about their daily routine, their hobbies and their likes.<\/p>\n

Ara mateix els alumnes de l’\u00cdndia estan de vacances i quan rebin les cartes, els nostres alumnes estaran de vacances tamb\u00e9. Al setembre ens posarem en contacte amb ells perqu\u00e8 les vinguin a recollir a l’escola.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Right now the Indian students in Patasala School are on holidays and when they receive the letters, our pupils will be on holidays too. In September we will contact them so that they can come to school to pick their letters.<\/p>\n

Esperem continuar aquest projecte amb els alumnes de cicle superior durant els propers cursos, doncs a m\u00e9s a m\u00e9s de ser enriquidor (con\u00e8ixer una realitat molt diferent a la seva) i significatiu (all\u00f2 que escriuen va dirigit a una persona real i els respondr\u00e0), tamb\u00e9 els ajuda a desenvolupar la\u00a0seva compet\u00e8ncia comunicativa\u00a0en angl\u00e8s nivell escrit.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We would like to continue this project with children in the 3rd Cycle in the forthcoming school years, since not only is it a rewarding and meaningful\u00a0activity (learning about a very different reality and writing to a real person), but also it will help them to develop their writing skills in English.<\/p>\n
