Dins del projecte AICLE s’emmarquen un conjunt d’actuacions destinades a donar suport a aquells centres que desenvolupem un projecte innovador per a la gesti\u00f3 de les lleng\u00fces estrangeres curriculars, en el nostre cas la llengua anglesa. Els auxiliars de conversa en els centres catalans s\u00f3n un recurs de primer ordre per a estimular l’aprenentatge de lleng\u00fces i el coneixement d’altres cultures i altres formes d’entendre el m\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

La seva tasca educativa d\u00f3na suport ling\u00fc\u00edstic a les activitats programades pel tutor o tutora d’aula, amb objectius comuns: el desenvolupament de les compet\u00e8ncies comunicatives i ling\u00fc\u00edstiques de l’alumnat. Aquest objectiu \u00e9s clau per a l’aprenentatge al llarg de tota la vida, at\u00e8s que l’oralitat esdev\u00e9 una habilitat b\u00e0sica i transversal per a l’estudi i el creixement personal.<\/p>\n

Aquest curs a l\u2019Escola Mart\u00ed Poch i l\u2019Institut Joan Amig\u00f3 i Callau hem iniciat una nova modalitat d\u2019aquest tipus de suport. Hem sumat esfor\u00e7os per tal de poder disposar als dos centres d\u2019una auxiliar de conversa. El programa s\u2019anomena CAPS (Conversation Assistant Programme for Schools). Aquesta activitat s\u2019ha pogut realitzar gr\u00e0cies a l\u2019ajut de l\u2019AMPA del centre i cal dir que ens fa molt il\u00b7lusi\u00f3 poder tirar-lo endavant.<\/p>\n

L\u2019Anisha Louise Bowry<\/strong>,\u00a0 \u00e9s nativa de Chesterfield, England. Ens acompanyar\u00e0 durant tot el curs 2018-2019 com auxiliar de conversa. A m\u00e9s el programa facilita que les fam\u00edlies del centre que ho desitgin, tamb\u00e9 puguin gaudir-ne. Per aquest motiu durant el mes de juliol es va realitzar una enquesta i una selecci\u00f3 per determinar quines fam\u00edlies podrien allotjar a l\u2019Anisha a casa seva durant aquest curs. Cal remarcar que van ser bastantes les fam\u00edlies d\u2019acollida interessades en aquest programa.<\/p>\n

CAPS\u00a0is\u00a0designed to place dynamic and creative native English speakers in Spanish schools as a Conversation Assistant (CA), in order to improve their teaching skills and student communication in English. CAPS has been successfully running successfully since 2009, and has established itself as a leader in the industry. Over 1800 Conversation Assistants have successfully completed the programme in more than 400\u00a0Spanish schools. CAPS is organised by Home to Home, a renowned company in the field of education which has over 25\u00a0years of experience in organising a wide range of educational programmes in English.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s CAPS?<\/p>\n

It\u2019s Conversation Assistant Programme for Schools. The main role of the\u00a0CA\u00a0is focused on increasing student exposure to English through motivating and encouraging conversation practice. The goal is that students improve and become more confident in their English skills by practicing with a native English speaker.<\/p>\n

CAPS is a pioneering program within the education sector at incorporating native English conversation assistants into schools.<\/p>\n

The Conversation Assistants\u00a0 are native English speakers have passed a thorough selection process in their home country. Special attention is focused on assessing if each individual candidate possess the: motivation, desire and commitment to ensure that they encourage the students to improve their English language skills.<\/p>\n

One of the main benefits for applying to\u00a0this programme is the option to live with a host family. By living with locals rather than other travelers, the CA receives an authentic firsthand cultural experience. If a CA really wants to give the most of themselves by spending time with the family, this is reciprocated, and it is usual that the CA forms strong bonds that continue after the programme has finished and for many years to come.<\/p>\n

Desitgem que aquest acord de col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 entre els dos centre, les fam\u00edlies d\u2019acollida, l\u2019alumnat i el projecte CAPS doni bons resultats.<\/p>\n
