Les Proves Cangur s\u00f3n un conjunt de reptes matem\u00e0tics, de dificultat creixent i de resposta tancada amb diverses opcions de resposta per a cada problema. A m\u00e9s, en tots els casos, els participants les han de completar sense calculadora.<\/p>\n<p>Les q\u00fcestions estan dividides en tres grups diferenciats pel seu nivell de\u00a0dificultat.\u00a0Les preguntes del primer grup valen <strong>3 punts<\/strong>; les del segon, <strong>4 punts<\/strong>; i les del tercer, <strong>5 punts<\/strong>. Una pregunta contestada correctament atorga al participant la qualificaci\u00f3 que correspon a les preguntes d&#8217;aquell grup. Per contra, en cas que el participant deixi la pregunta sense contestar, n&#8217;obtindr\u00e0 0 punts. Finalment, en cas que la resposta de la pregunta sigui err\u00f2nia, es resta la quarta part del valor individual de\u00a0la resposta correcta.<\/p>\n<p>Les Proves Cangur van comen\u00e7ar a realitzar-se als anys 80 a Austr\u00e0lia.
