\u201cPractice makes perfect.\u201d As with any spoken language, the more you practice the better you become. \u201cLanguages are alive, and if we do not use them in a significant and useful way, they will die.\u201d We have many of these sayings at school, and they are used to inspire, motivate and encourage the students to use the English language skills they have learned as a powerful vehicle for communication.<\/p>\n
At the school, we promote the English language through the following activities:<\/p>\n

- Conversation \/ Games Groups with American students.<\/li>\n
- Regular access to and renting from library of English books.<\/li>\n
- Trips to see English plays.<\/li>\n
- Listening to stories read aloud by American native speakers.<\/li>\n
- Exchange of letters and projects with schools from English speaking countries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Des de fa molts anys tot el claustre de l\u2019escola \u00e9s conscient de la gran import\u00e0ncia i necessitat del domini de la llengua anglesa per ser competent en la societat globalitzada en qu\u00e8 vivim. \u00c9s per aix\u00f2, que el foment i el treball per incorporar aquesta llengua en el nostre projecte educatiu \u00e9s una realitat que portem a terme des de fa temps.<\/p>\n
L’ampli grup de mestres especialistes d\u2019angl\u00e8s amb els que compta l\u2019escola s\u2019han format per poder portar a terme els diferents projectes ling\u00fc\u00edstics d\u2019angl\u00e8s del centre, tant d\u2019Educaci\u00f3 Infantil com d\u2019Educaci\u00f3 Prim\u00e0ria, tots ells aprovats, guiats i finan\u00e7ats pel Departament d\u2019Educaci\u00f3.<\/p>\n
La nostra feina comen\u00e7a a l\u2019Educaci\u00f3 Infantil ja des d’I3. En aquesta etapa l\u2019objectiu principal \u00e9s que l\u2019alumne es familiaritzi amb la llengua anglesa a trav\u00e9s de contes, can\u00e7ons, jocs\u2026 d\u2019una manera relaxada, natural i contextualitzada per fomentar la comunicaci\u00f3 i garantir el di\u00e0leg. D\u2019aquesta manera es creen situacions comunicatives i significatives pels alumnes que fan que aquests gaudeixin mentre aprenen.<\/p>\n
A Prim\u00e0ria augmentem de manera progressiva les sessions en llengua anglesa i garantim l\u2019\u00fas oral de la llengua. A m\u00e9s,\u00a0 A partir de 3r, un cop per setmana treballem\u00a0 per racons \u201ccorners\u201d on els alumnes treballen les diferents habilitats de listening, speaking, reading i writing de forma aut\u00f2noma i cadasc\u00fa al seu ritme.<\/p>\n
A 1r, 2n i 3r incorporem tres tallers d\u2019Art (Pl\u00e0stica en angl\u00e8s) i dos ambients a Cicle Inicial: \u201cGames\u201d i \u201cArts & Crafts\u201d.\u00a0 A 4t l\u2019\u00e0rea de pl\u00e0stica tamb\u00e9 es fa en aquesta llengua i a 5\u00e8 i 6\u00e8 introdu\u00efm un taller de \u201cSTEAM\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cA parlar s\u2019apr\u00e8n parlant\u201d. \u201cEls idiomes s\u00f3n vius, si no els fem servir d\u2019una manera significativa i \u00fatil moren\u201d. Aquests lemes els tenim molt presents, per tant, a l\u2019escola es creen i es promouen diferents moments on els alumnes puguin fer \u00fas i posar en pr\u00e0ctica el que aprenen per tal de fer la llengua anglesa un\u00a0vehicle de comunicaci\u00f3 \u201creal\u201d.<\/p>\n
Des de l\u2019escola fomentem la llengua anglesa amb les seg\u00fcents activitats:<\/p>\n

- Grups de conversa i jocs amb estudiants americans durant l\u2019horari escolar a tots els nivells.<\/li>\n
- Acc\u00e9s al pr\u00e9stec de llibres en angl\u00e8s.<\/li>\n
- Sortides per veure obres en angl\u00e8s.<\/li>\n
- Contes explicats per nadius.<\/li>\n
- Intercanvi de correspond\u00e8ncia i projectes amb escoles de parla anglesa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
